House Speaker Hastert said recently that he’s glad the cut-and-runners (translation: people who don’t think we should occupy foreign lands and preside over brutal insurgencies and proto-civil wars) aren’t in charge of the country. I wonder what the Founders would have thought of men like Hastert.
