As a writer who is successful, D.B., I would applaud you on your writing ability. You deserve a medal. Specifically, I appreciate how you cover some of the most difficult topics in a humorous manner. In fact, I have been borrowing the way you turn serious subjects into fodder for chuckles in some of my work.

Mr. Bell – I do enjoy your strip very much. Today's cartoon make me wonder if you're a fan of the annual Bulwer-Lytton bad writing contest? The 2011 results are now out.

  2011 results are not on Google yet. Do you go to San Jose State? When I read exerpts of the winners, I really enjoyed them. I wonder why they were voted as winners of bad writing? This deals with tongue in cheek humor, but I enjoy that kind.
