Of course they let Paris out of jail

Just more proof that the rich and famous live in a different world than the rest of us. Imagine the average inmate being allowed to spend the bulk of her sentence in a luxurious mansion because she didn’t like the prison food.

Paris Hilton was let out of jail Thursday morning, days after she began serving what was to have been a 45-day sentence for violating probation, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said. Hilton must wear a monitoring bracelet and remain at her home for another 40 days, said sheriff’s department spokesman Steve Whitmore.Medical considerations “played a part” in the decision to offer Hilton home confinement for the remainder of her sentence, Whitmore said. (Watch Whitmore detail Hilton’s deal )He said privacy rules prohibited him from giving details about the medical issues, but celebrity Web site TMZ.com earlier quoted sources saying Hilton was refusing to eat much of the jail food served her.Whitmore said that after “extensive consultation with medical personnel” it was decided to offer Hilton “reassignment” to home confinement, which she and her attorneys accepted.

Yup, celebrities are different. Money and fame buy more stuff, including “justice.” At least there’s a judge who says “enough” – even to the sheriff.

Twenty-six years old, never told “no” by her parents (spoiled kids often turn into spoiled adults) and for the first time in her life she gets sent to “time out.” She’d be embarrassed if she wasn’t so self-centered.

Amazing how some people can find a Bush tie-in when talking about Paris Hilton and the state of the ‘justice’ system and spoiled rich people. Oh well, whatever floats your boat –

I heard that Scott-o-Rama. I’m disgusted by this. I can’t believe that thee was ever a time in my younger life when I actually believed that the law applied to everyone. Well, just like the bush administration has crushed any pride i had left in the country this has effectively squished any remaining feelings of fair play and justice I may have had. Its a crock. Next time a cop stops me for anything I’m claiming anxiety and unspecified medical reasons.

  3. Scott-O-Rama says:

I also heard that she was suffering from “anxiety.”

Geez… who doesn’t have anxiety. Even my dogs have anxiety. I just give them a bone to calm them down, and we all know Paris has had plenty of bones.

Besides, partying all night, getting drunk, coking up, and sleeping with half of Hollywood is okay for her medical condition, but sitting in a quiet cell isn’t?

It’s so sad when “justice” can be so blatantly bought in America.
