  1. Jim says:

OT: Gary Johnson comes out in favor of gay marriage. Another sign he's better than the other GOP candidates running, AND better than Obama.

    • ChayaFradle says:

      Oy, vay.

    • kenecollier says:

A "libertarian" took this long to come out in favor of letting people decide who they can marry? I guess his old position wasn't polling well.

      • Jim says:

And Obama is STILL opposed to gay marriage. Suck on that, you goddamn hypocrite.

        • kenecollier says:

And I've STILL supported gay marriage longer than your libertarian hero. Consider that, you thin-skinned grouch.

        • Darrin Bell says:

Jim, I know you're frustrated that nobody here (or anywhere, according to opinion polls) is taking Gary Johnson seriously, but please stop pesonally insulting people. It's not helpful for you, for Gary Johnson, or for everyone else's enjoyment of the comments section on Candorville.com.

          • Jim says:

Darrin, the reason I'm frustrated is because I'm sick of the hypocrisy. Obama supporters are giving the president a free pass for doing the same things they criticized Bush for doing. And when another candidate steps up and actually speaks out for what's right, he's ignored or attacked, even though if Obama were to say the same things his supporters would be ecstatic. Even you, who i admire for having the guts to call Obama out on his broken promises, still won't acknowledge that there might be someone better out there. Why? Because the guy saying that we need to protect the civil liberties of the American people and stop trying to police the world ISN'T a Democrat?

          • Darrin Bell says:

I've already explained my position on both Gary Johnson and Barack Obama, so I'm not going to repeat myself. You can characterize it however you want to. I'm just going to ask you not to personally insult people on my website. You can make your points without doing that.

        • ChayaFradle says:

Let's see. You've called me names, you called Ken names, so who's next? This site should be respected by the bloggers. It is a professional courtesy of Darrin Bell to let us read his comics for free. He doesn't have to do this. Yes, we all could ignore your rantings, but it would be better if you are educated in proper manners. You must realize that if, in a conversation about grocery shopping, for example, if you throw in some fact about the moon's craters, you would be seen as having some form of emotional/mental problem. So, in a conversation, we try to stick to the topic. I don't always do it, but it is rare and not consistent that I mess up like that. Please try contacting your favored politician and asking how you can best help him. Right now, you are doing him a disservice by making him appear foolish through your representation. I applaud Darrin Bell for allowing freedom of speech, but since I am not him, I can tell you to stop it. Please. Another point is that you can get a heart attack by being so very passionate in a non-controlled manner, and I'm worried for your health. Please de-stress and calm down. Stop calling people names on a professional site, particularly this one.

          • Jim says:

Chaya, if people like you are being hypocrites, I'm going to call you out for being hypocrites.

          • ChayaFradle says:

Let us all know, in about 10 years, how many stress related illnesses you have caused yourself through this ranting and raving. By the way, I am honored that you think some of us are so important in your life that you take your precious time to attempt to insult us in order to… what? Change our minds through the rudeness and insults? I, personally, am highly honored to be called out by you. I must be doing something really right!

          • Jim says:

I've already been in a mental institution. Ranting and raving online to vent my frustrations is a way of trying to keep myself from ending up back in one.

          • ChayaFradle says:

Thanks for explaining, Jim. We'll all be more patient with you now that we know what's going on. I, too, checked myself into a mental institution for two weeks because of severe depression after a terrifying divorce. I did it to protect myself from myself. So, are you on meds now? How are they working for you? How do you like Candorville cartoons? Are they therapeutic or do they have meaning for you individually? <3

          • ChayaFradle says:

PLEASE be aware that Little Lemont and Little Susan are LISTENING to your name calling. We don't talk like you do in front of little kids! Hahahaha. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  2. packit0 says:

Great strip! Put a smile on my face 🙂

  3. ChayaFradle says:

Also, what about finding out we are all like the phoenix? We'll all just spring to life again from the ashes after the world kills itself with nuclear bombs. Nope, I'm remembering back in the '50s with the bomb shelters. Sorry. Back then, we were thinking there would NEVER be 2012 because the world would end before the new Millenium.

  4. WWMD says:

I think this one's my favorite. <3 But the Aries in me doesn't like that little Lemont called Mars "ghetto." :p
