Yeah, I can’t believe the mountain of crap I keep seeing about Obama. But no amount of disproving this stuff is going to persuade people who WANT to believe it’s true. It’s like the people who still say Al Gore said he “invented the Internet” YEARS after it’s been proven he didn’t say that, and years after it’s been proven that what he did say was accurate.
Some people will say Obama’s a Muslim-Martian half-breed forever because some people are irrational.

Davrash, that’s an UNDERstatement. People who want to FIND stuff on Obama will MAKE UP things just to try to undermine his efforts. To me, that is the lowest of the lows.

The best part is when the Internet says that Barack Obama is “a Muslim with a crazy Christian pastor.” It’s never juxtaposed like that, in a single sentence, but other than that, the drumbeat is near-constant. And to see it laid out in a single sentence like that; I imagine that no reader could see that and not think, “Well, no, that’s just retarded!”

F-n hilarious, and dead on.

Hi, tom and Davrash. I agree with you both. B Rhodes, you can say that again!!!!!! I’ve been reading even more retarded statements from an overview of some of the “lights gone out/out to lunch” people and if I don’t watch myself, I can get really angry and stressed. When I read it in this humorous way, I laugh, and it takes the stress away.

By the way, this is a GREAT representation of the sites on the internet which allow messages from the weirdos to incite other weirdos to be furious about lies which they take as the gospel truth. The way the “Internet” character is drawn is so RIGHT ON. (That’s the ’60s talk for “Good talk”, I think.)

I can *hear* the inflection in that last panel.

I also thought the bare belly with the belly button was super funny. I can still laugh with this strip DAYS and DAYS later. It’s like I can’t get enough of it.
