<description>I turned off CNN after about 10 minutes of the on air talent reporting the GOP talking points and praising their own commitment to covering the convention. We opted for C-SPAN.
I think we're seeing the "liberal" media covering the campaign just as they covered the run up to the war. The GOP has learned that if they shriek "media bias" enough the media will back off questioning Republican candidates and causes. It worked well in 2000 when the media recited the GOP line of Gore lying/exaggerating.
It's going to be especially damaging this year because it's going to gain more traction partnered with a lot of low grade bigotry. Some people who didn't hear the speech will be willing to accept that since she's African-American Obama was complaining about discrimination.
That being said, even Readers Digest's political blogger (http://www.rd.com/blogs/loose-cannon/family-night-in-denver/post5807.html) noted that Caroline Kennedy and Michelle Obama came across very well.
Maybe the truth will trickle out of Denver.</description>
