It sounds like Lemont’s dad is a #1 loser. Someone should give Lemont a good swift kick in the posterior so Lemont can wake up and realize that any dad who can leave his family and ignore such a wonderful kid such as Lemont must have been when young, is also a selfish fool who only takes pride in his own self. He may not be capable of those paternal feelings, no matter how hard Lemont tries. It would be the same as a mom who leaves her daughters, and the daughters think it’s because of something they did wrong or could have done better. Way off course. Way. People can only love as much as they are able to, and in a way only they can justify in their own quest for self preservation and self justification for being alive. Maybe send Lemont to the therapist who is in some of the comic strips? What would she say?

P.S. Maybe find Lemont’s long lost dad and kick HIS butt into jail. Leaving Lemont was criminal. CRIMINAL I say, criminal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
