If this is a dream, wow. Maybe it’s a nightmare. I really am honing in to the pic of the homeless man with a bookcase behind him, because on the news it’s showing many middle income class people who have lost their homes are now homeless. Yet, they were educated. I think that if I became homeless, I, too, would keep one chair and my books on the street. The coffee drinking is also something many people may not notice, with the little pinky finger out as if it is very high class person, perhaps of English descent because that’s how they drink tea, right? Also, maybe I’m reading too much into this, but I see the bridge also as being symbolic. Palin’s bridge to nowhere. Hahahaha. Actually, this strip is FILLED with metaphors and references to recent and old news. Very clever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish ALL politicians would be reading Candorville. They might learn something.
