It would help if I knew WHY they thought it’s a “racist cartoon.” Sometime people confuse “talking about racism” with “being racist.” Candorville deals bluntly with bigotry no matter where it comes from and no matter who it’s directed against. I don’t shy away from talking about white on black bigotry, black on black bigotry, straight on gay bigotry, American on foreigner bigotry, etc.What you could do is point them to several strips on this website that attacked bigotry.
