Personally, I don't believe that Anderson Cooper would ever break a mirror. I'm pretty sure that he loves them.

Beyond that, the blending of McCain and Apocalypse Now is great. The pursuit of McCain's lost honor is especially timely as McCain sheds another layer of dignity with his personal attacks on Obama. I find it very sad that a man who actually deserved the label of Maverick at times and occasionally stood up for the right causes would end up making the last major act of his political career such an ugly episode. He could have stuck to the issues and run a principled campaign down the stretch. Instead he's become more and more of exactly the kind of self-serving politician that many of us (naively, I guess) sought an antidote for. In the end, winning became everything to him and he made a mockery of his slogan of "Country First." While he bravely served the nation in the past his ambition got the better of him this week.
