    My dad was king of guilt trips. but they did lose their effectiveness over time. When I was young, boy did they work!

    Haha. My DH was telling me that this was the embodiment of a guilt trip that proclaims itself to not be a guilt trip. While you are distracted by their denial, they sock you again.

    On the surface, this Mom sounds great. Do I detect sarcasm in the last panel and was it REAL or imagined by Lemont? This poor mom gets such a bad rap! Blamed for everything under the sun, I imagine. Does she EVER defend herself? If so, does it work? I'd like to see more of this relationship. It may explain some of Lemont's problems, if the mom was a real jerk!
