  1. ChayaFradle says:

I want to sometimes go through a Stargate gate. Don't you?

  2. SuburbanEcology says:

Just as things were getting good on SGU, they cancelled it. :-/ Sort of annoying … Now, the only SF I watch on TV is Dr. Who on BBCAmerica.

    Sad.

BTW, looking forward to getting my copy of "The Starbucks at the End of the Universe." 🙂

    • Darrin Bell says:

Things were getting awesome. That storyline with their descendants opened up a lot of possibilities for coolness. This wasn't as frustrating as the premature endings of Odyssey 5, Space Above and Beyond, Firefly and Farscape, but it was right up there. At least with FF and Farscape we got a movie and a miniseries to wrap it up. Supposedly this was it for Stargate.

I'm with you on Doctor Who. It's not the same without Russel T Davies, but it's good enough.

  3. ChayaFradle says:

Would that make me a "Grandma Geek"?

  4. Laura says:

Oh, man, I know Lemont is a geek, but the fact that his three top SciFi shows are my favorites…with the addition of Firefly…just blows me away! DS9 was the BEST of the Star Treks!

  5. Wind says:

I love how every pronounces Al Qaeda a million different was like the the Gao'uld of S G 1. By the way Darrin, I'm a big Candorville fan. Our local newspaper stopped carrying you, but now I follow you online, and on twitter!

    • Darrin Bell says:

Which paper was that? I'm glad you didn't let them stop you.

I always pronounced it "Al-kai-duh", only partially because it reminded me of Kai Winn from DS9.

      • Wind says:

It's the Santa Cruz Sentinel (CA). We call it the "Senile". Unfortunately there is only about 2% African American population here. They replaced iCandorville with some sappy crappy strip. I'm glad to have discovered your site here because it was only in on weekdays anyways. Now I get to read the Sunday Strips online, and have it on my iPhone too. They do carry Rudy Park here, but only in Sunday's paper. Thanks! Candorville is my favorite.

        • Wind says:

Chiana was my favorite character (from Farscape) She moved so bizarrely. It found out she was a friend of my brother's in LA, and I got to have lunch with her while I was visiting. I loved Farscape.

          • Darrin Bell says:

I'm jealous. I hated Chiana, but she grew on me. D'argo was my favorite.

  6. Jim says:

How the hell did you manage to get the syndicate censors let "Ballchinians" slide?
