lol, this strip is cracking me up. I hope that President Obama is just waiting to get reelected, so he can deal with the issue more effectively. Although by taking the moderate position, it will not accomplish much since it's not like those on the right are gonna change their votes for him just because he doesn't believe in gay marriage. They have Michele Bachmann for that. She is everything I'm against- arrogant, anti-abortion, anti-gay, anti-abortion (C'mon, women have to give birth to babies as a product of rape?), God fanatic (There is nothing wrong with believing in God, but it is shameful to use God to make people vote for her). Sarah Palin seems like a saint compared to her, at least, Sarah Palin is hilarious.

Actually, when I first saw her on TV, I thought it was a big joke. She MUST have been a comedian. No one would choose a ditzy airhead for a VP, right?

Chaya is wrong. I think she is thinking Obama finally took a stand. He didn't. He's waiting until after the next election. What good would it be if he took a stand too soon, and doesn't get re-elected? He already finally repealed the DON'T ASK DON'T TELL rule, and look how long it took him for that. Yet, would anyone else have done things faster? Why not give him credit for even going as far as he has. BTW, looks like many of us are up late at night, huh?

Exactly! Hear, hear … One could be like Ralph Nader & the Green Party, saying exactly how they would like the world to be, disregarding the reality of democracy, of sharing the vote with a nation full of right wingers … then people like Bush II end up winning … I think Obama is walking the fine line & could not do any better than he already does … and, @ Chaya, he gets my $30 whenever I can afford it … (night owls unite!)

The newest waffling (or is Obama just filibustering until the next election?) is his "emerging" stance on SOCIAL SECURITY and Medicare. I am crossing my fingers that he's just filibustering. He does, after all, have to deal with a Republican Senate, right?

Lets say you stand in front of an audience of over a million people, and someone asks you a question that is HIGHLY inflammatory. How many of us would stutter, hem and haw, and choke on finally getting out the decent answer.
