  1. MisTeryWriter says:

OK, here is the difference between linear and circular thought processes: Linear is a process of thought following known cycles or step-by-step progression where a response to a step must be elicited before another step is taken. Most of our Western books are written in a linear manner. On the other side of the world, books such as "The Prophet" and other Semitic people of different languages are written in a circular manner with no actual beginning, middle or end. This is why, in a conversation with people who speak with a circular reasoning, you will hear such dialogue as, "Can you believe it's so hot?" "Yes, my brother graduated yesterday!" "The mailman didn't come on time. "It is hot, isn't it?" My sister graduated yesterday." "So, the mailman might be sick." They would both leave, understanding that the conversation was quite logical according to their thinking.

  2. ChayaFradle says:

Ah. Not linear thinking, but circular thinking. Darrin's next book should be "PHILOSOPHY of CANDORVILLE".
