   Members of Congress should have to swear a loyalty oath to the human race over corporations.

     Throw in Democrats as well; they like to screw people over just as much as the Repubs and the Tea Party.

     They do swear a loyalty oath of sorts. They swear to uphold the Constitution, iIrc. If I ever have to be sworn in, I'll request the same thing that President Jefferson was sworn in on: a copy of the Constitution. After all, I believe that we are a nation where no man is above the law.
