I've had Dish since 2002. LinkTV, FreeSpeechTV come with the standard package. Unfortunately, they don't carry Al Jazeera English yet, but Link and FSTV carry several shows from AJE.

The original reason I went with Dish was that they were the only service available in my area that offered Italian and German programming packages. I think they have some of the best foreign language packages on the market.

I'm not a shill for Dish, Darrin, but please feel free to edit or delete this comment. I just thought I might alert you to Dish. I think they're nice people. Plus they gave me a free year's sub to Starz, just for being a good subscriber. And that means I get to watch Torchwood: Miracle Day which is a great show, even if the Italian landlady spoke Italian with an awful accent. Couldn't they have found a better actress or language coach or something? Sheesh.

Her crappy Italian accent kept with Doctor Who/Torchwood tradition of actors doing horrible accents (including tremendously bad American).

  2. They treat you so bad, neglect you… then they're so surprised when you leave.

Yes, I'm still talking about cable/internet/phone companies. I wasn't talking about people *nervous laughter*

I hope Lemont reads the fine print if he should choose the "package" deals. Often, you MUST sign up for 2 years. Then, at the end of the first year, the price goes up to "regular" which means ANYTHING they want to charge. If you cancel before 2 years, you usually have a bill sent to you for the regular price even for the year before. So, Lemont, please, READ the fine print!
