Discussion (8)¬

  1. candid observer says:

But, how can a dead (or undead) judge even be legally recognized??

  2. John says:

Of course, since the judge is technically dead (see June 23), I'm not certain the relationship legally counts…

  3. Mellaril says:

I've read several of the old strings. How did Lemont get involved with Roxanne in the first place? I get that Sasha was "the one that got away" from college but Susan was around at that time, also.

I should have started reading Candorville sooner.

    • Darrin Bell says:

She's been part of the strip a lot longer than people realize. The story of how Lemont met Roxanne is in the first Candorville book, "Thank God for Culture Clash," and continued in "Another Stereotype Bites the Dust," the second book.

(Both are now available for the iPad, btw)

None of those strips are online, because I lost the original files when my computer AND external backup drive died at the same time. The syndicate sent me their copies, but they're arranged in a way that'll make it really time consuming to process them for the web. Someday, I'll do it.

  4. "According to Brown V. Dubois…"

So they didn't so much find a loophole as MAKE a loophole, seeing as how the "precedence" they quote is the current case.

Of course a real case would have been long since thrown out if there was a preexisting relationship between one of the petitioners and the judge.
