The Uncertain Economy

  1. LTL says:

Very subtle the "Grapes of Wrath,' spot on !

    • ChayaFradle says:

For those of us who are illiterate, please explain which part of Grapes of Wrath is like this strip.

      • SuLu says:

The Grapes of Wrath is set in the Depression, focusing on desperately poor people displaced by unemployment & foreclosure. Not that hard to figure out.

  2. ChayaFradle says:

I think it is a natural occurrence that our economy is going down, based on our population explosion and outsourcing of jobs. In fact, with the disparity of incomes in the U.S.A.,, the only way to solve this (on paper) is to go socialist. For some reason, it only LOOKS good on paper. It doesn't work in real life. I don't know why.

  3. ChayaFradle says:

Doesn't the economy go up and down naturally, like the waves of the ocean?

    • Joe Mama says:

Chaya, "naturally" is a bit of a stretch. I think it's more like 'as a consequence of its nature.' Huge economic fluctuations in which places of employment and huge numbers of workers were simultaneously idle didn't exist before the modern economy.

      • ChayaFradle says:

Yes, but how much does the population explosion growth impact this? Along with outsourcing jobs? And, now that we've begun to outsource, can we ever go back? Is it even possible? Our economy is so intersecting with other nations that we've woven ourselves into a virtual steel web.

    • Alex says:

get them into eaudction and higer eaudction and that will be thier success for life! thats defiantely 1 heck of a money making project that will be rewarding and successful and then they can be teachers and help others and pass down knowledge etc and work too. also, stop cheap labour. they are humans just as much as every other human in the world. no1 is superior than the other. not even the kings, queens and presidents!
