Hmm… Could also be interpreted as Lemont thinking she said "putas." I thought it was a play on her Spanish.

    • ChayaFradle says:

Ah. See? This is a joke MANY people can think is funny based on their own interpretation. Funny for all.

  2. Darrin Bell says:

Probably. This one's a time bomb, designed to go off in your head once you've sounded it out to yourself hours after reading it.

    • ChayaFradle says:

Please have pity on an old woman and fill me in on the joke. I'm a bit dense at my age. 🙁

      • Darrin Bell says:

I know the joke was too obscure for a lot of readers. Jokes are never funny when they're explained (because the act of figuring it out on our own is a huge part of the reason we laugh) but….

Susan's speculating that CEO's are Buddhists who believe in reincarnation, and that's why they need to earn more money than they can ever spend in one lifetime. They're saving for all their future lifetimes. Meanwhile, Lemont misheard her when she said "Buddhists." He thinks Susan's calling CEO's "booties" because they take home so much more money then their employees.

        • ChayaFradle says:

No, it IS funny, even when explained. It's just that the joke teller may not think it is important if he has to explain it. I am totally ROFLMAO it is so funny. Thanks. 🙂

Very nice touch! I'll bet there are a lot of people scratching their heads on this one.
