Another time, I took them to the museum in Los Angeles which had a GIANT lady with her insides opened up so you can see all the inner organs (of course, it was plastic). My kids were fascinated.

Intelligent babies are very hard to deal with in that they do ACTUALLY negotiate and think at a very mature level. But it is funny as they can't yet enunciate. Their questions can drive you insane, because you have to have so much patience. When parents dismiss the intelligent queries of their babies or tell them to go away, the brain ceases to develop, and the child's intelligence is then stunted. Sometimes, I had to take my kids to the library to find out the answers to their questions (no computers or Google back then).

Ok, we have a 7yo and a 3yo & we've found that co-sleeping works pretty well. We've had to re-arrange our schedules A LOT to do it, and I end up having to clean up the kitchen and load the dishwasher at midnight, but it works. 🙂

We also invested in some of those light-up reading glasses that make you look like a Borg and book-reading lights. That way we don't have to light up the whole bedroom to read a bed-time story or catch up on the latest Candorville collection. 😉
