Hahaha! I'm guessing that "Evans" is an homage to Maurice (pronounced "Morris") Evans who played Sam's father Maurice (pronounced "Mor-REECE").

Either that or Michael Evans from Good Times finally worked his way up and is no longer dealing with "easy credit rip-offs"

    • John says:

Yeah, I thought of that, but it doesn't really make sense in-character (Darrin's father-in-law would hardly find a mortal's ad business interesting) or by name (the firm is named after the characters, not the actors).

I went so far as to look up the cast in Mad Men (there's a scary merger for you) but nothing seemed to fit.

  2. John says:

My search skills have failed me. The addition of "Stevens" is pretty obvious, but where does "Evans" come from?

(On the other hand, the biographies of the various cast members has now taken up a pleasant half-hour.)

  3. Lovethedog says:

Hmm, an ad firm with a witchcraft connection. How soon until Sunshine returns and how will she deal with this?

(Here Sunshine! come on, girl! Got a nice skull for you to catch!)

I sure wish Darren or whoever runs this site would load the daily strip early, like it's USUALLY done at gocomics. I'd much rather support him by reading it here but it should be more current. Thanks.

    • Darrin Bell says:

Done. I've been updating it at midnight daily according to Pacific Time, since that's where I am; but from now on it'll update on Atlantic Time.
