   Just wanted you to know I've been deeply touched by your tribute to Robin Williams–especially the last two days with the personification of depression, and most especially today. "I'll just go sleep on the couches of those he loved." True, so true. A beautiful, sad tribute–and I love your concept of the A train to the afterlife.

   Thanks for your moving Robin Williams tribute series. As someone who has battled depression all my adult life, I especially appreciated the personification of the "demon." I wish it were so easy to separate it from oneself – it might be easier to live with.

     It seems a useful way to think of depression–as a demon outside of ourselves, telling us lies and half-truths slanted in a negative way. I'm going to start to look at it that way.

   Yes, yes he did crash there for a while until I started thinking of all the joy and laughter he brought into this world. Thinking that the ancient oak must give way to make room for the acorns and sproutlings.
