   Sadly that's true and also takes place in many other countries. Politicians (and the media for that matter) don't debate real issues, they just point fingers and shout. Those with the loudest voice will get the votes!
   It sickens me the way that here, in the UK, people are so obsessed and concerned with the presence of EU immigrants when the reality is that they contribute and pay more tax than what they actually claim from the benefits system. But all it took was for one member of parliament to use the "nationalist card" and he got elected.

   The results of the election were not surprising. There was a concerted effort to talk against Obama instead of telling the facts of how he has helped us. The appeal to emotion was whipped to a fervor. People were not voting for any Republican agenda, since there was none save to whip up hatred against Obama.

     So, instead of voting for something, people voted against a person.
