Actually, it's my fault. I can't stand to watch shows unless they're on DVD or on my PVR. So I never look at ads that sustain new shows, and by the time I'm willing to buy old shows, it's too late.

Also, I never got past the first few episodes of SG-1, even though I knew from ST-TNG that you can't judge a show by its first season. I'm sorry.

Wow. When I watch a program after it was recorded, yes, I skip over the commercials. It is MY FAULT, too, that all these shows are being deleted from our vision and memories.

  2. ChayaFradle says:

I remember every time the show changed, like from Star Trek to Deep Space 9 to Stargate SG1 to Stargate Universe (don't quite remember that one), I said EACH TIME I wasn't going to watch the new series because I liked the old one better. I think what is happening to the TV stations is the same thing happening to Newspapers. Not enough money to sustain their programming. The ads aren't pulling their weight, so they had to get 10 ads at a time, leaving only about 15 or 20 minutes of the show altogether. With the soap operas, those people had been on for over 20 years, some of them and are at the top of their salary payments. With talk shows, they can hire any old ninny and pay them a pittance of what the soap stars were paid. This is just plain SAD! Sad, I say. Sad! 🙁 🙁 🙁

  3. ChayaFradle says:

So, then, maybe it's MY fault that my soaps are being cancelled? I know. We should just apologize to the stations, and they'll put all of our shows back on. Right?

  4. John says:

It had gotten better near the end, but it had to overcome a lot of mistakes at the beginning that I think cost it its audience.

Eureka is cancelled now also. ARGH.
