I've always liked a phrase I picked up from Marco Polo (in translation): after giving a description of some new marvel, he would end with 'what need of more words?'
Apparently, both my husband and I use 'just so you know' so often in conversation, our eight-year-old son has picked it up on his own. Heh.
Needless to say, I need less to say. Hahahaha.
Just sayin'.
Not to mention it goes without saying.

I share your amusement with our language and its usage….. Needless to say.
