Yes, I know Congress recently legalized this, but in this country we don’t pass ex post facto laws that retroactively let people off the hook. If we did, Genarlow Wilson would’ve been freed when the Georgia state legislature later decriminalized the act for which he’d been convicted. Of course, George W. Bush wasn’t a teen-aged black man when he committed his crimes, so he probably won’t face the same sort of justice.
