  • "After a few more months of this nonsense, they'll confirm her."

True, but the point was to huff & puff as loudly as possible about THE GREAT BIG LIBRUL THREAT TO "OUR" EXISTENCE long enough to attract the maximum possible number of donations from their lunatic base. They know their audience--the GOP has been doing massive amounts of fundraising. It's pretty sad that they can find so many people gullible enough to fall for this crap.

    • I'm enjoying the GOP's attempt to make Americans sympathetic to the plight of those with economic power: Pity the poor CEOs! Protect the insurance companies and banks!
I can't imagine why they're having trouble selling that to most Americans. They are finding a sympathetic ear from small numbers of wealthy donors.

    • You can say that again. You're right, of course, it's a fund-raising tactic and it works.

  • And people say Republicans don't know how to work hard. But I know they spend hours working in the quote mines, digging gems out of otherwise common discussions.

    • So far all they've found are those 32 words. And a video of her saying she's a beneficiary of affirmative action (which does nothing except demonstrate that affirmative action works!).

After a few more months of this nonsense, they'll confirm her.

      • Don't forget the "Court is Where Policy is Made" statement they originally were making a stink about.

        • Thank you thank you thank you, you just gave me an idea for my next week of strips!

Anyhow, "Court is where policy is made" is just a description of judicial review. It's nothing new or radical; we've had that for 206 years.
