  • Thank you deeply for choosing to buck the trend and NOT portray the psychotherapy patient as sitting on the Freudian office sofa. It always frustrates me to see this depiction in other strips.   • So, what the doc is trying to get him to realize is that because of his father's fear of commitment, Lemont feels he needs a commitment to prove (even to himself) that he's not like his father. Well, that's one possibility, but I prefer the possibility that he'd really loved Susan all along but wasn't able to admit it while committed to marrying the vamp. But then I guess I'm just a romantic at heart.
