  • "Excuse me, stewardess, I speak Nerd."

Sugarkat - when I was in high school, I memorized the Greek
alphabet so I could write secret notes to myself - in English,
using Greek characters. Rather a waste of effort, given how many
people would have _tried_ to read my secret notes, in any case.

    • Please note my ability not to mention gigglebraxing. Except for there. I'm learning to e-socialize! Hooray! #nerd

    • Dude, when I was in elementary school, my brother and I wrote notes to each other in elvish characters (basically runes, since we were going from the Tolkein version of elvish) to ensure our parents couldn't read them. Got. You. Beat.

  • I spent hours of my childhood showing off how I could flip from the Nanoo-Nanoo hand sign to the Vulcan hand sign lickety-split. I WAS THE NERDIEST NERD CHILD THAT EVER NERDED, and yet I never bothered with calculus. Strange world.

Nerdier sign-off would have included the word "frak".

  • "Nanoo, nannoo"?!? Confusing a Vulcan with Mork from Ork? I'm guessing that quite of slam to a sci fi geek.
