A loser is a down and out criminal with sadistic, cruel and mean tendencies. Someone who just doesn't make it in the world of work or has problems with relationships is not a loser. Some losers actually amass more money than is usable and appear to be winners. Take, for example. Mafia bosses, drug cartels, etc. I would rather be poor and alone than rich for the wrong reasons with disgusting type friends.
