Clyde is wrong in assuming the child of super star singers become singers themselves or write their own songs. Look at Cher's daughter/son. He isn't singing. What about Michael Jackson's kids? I don't see them as striving to become stars yet. :)
How about Willow Smith whipping her hair back & forth & gettin' all rowdy in the fictitious video classroom? And her brother Jaden's Karate Kid? And Hannah Montana whatsherreal name? Not really superstars in the latter case, of course-- She's another case where I'd thought the SNL caricature had to be way over the top, until I saw the real thing was just that insipid.
And in politics, there are Kennedys & a Bayh, and my city's congressman Clay, who are all mere shadows of their fathers' greatness.
