Since the actual substance in marijuana which gives relief from pain can be put into a pill, then the government/FDA should regulate it, it should be grown in government approved facilities, and should be in the same category as prescribed medicine. It should not be an OTC drug. I think you thought of marijuana by the terms used in the strip: happy, content, at ease and positive emotions. Let me remind you of bad trips and tainted marijuana. Or, the ease of people who have NO good intentions sneaking easily bought on the street marijuana into brownies or tea and giving it to people who were unaware of being drugged. If you lived through the 60's hippie crowd you know of what I speak. I do not think Darrin meant to provoke a "high" in the dialogue of these two men.

Yes, Clinton did the same thing back in the Nineties, also to California, and it was just as disappointing then. But I'm not sure what that has to do with today's strip. Unless you're saying we're all looking at just the tip of the iceberg of totalitarianism.
