Maybe, but a lot of people had to do the work of two or three people after their bosses laid off co-workers. Most companies are seeing some nice profits and need to reward the people who did the work.
It would make for an interesting plot if this boss were audited and his books were opened to Susan to see if there was a profit made, or if her boss is really in financial trouble. Another interesting development would be...wait. I think I will e mail the artist with this idea. Just in case.
