That what I was wondering about in the earlier strip. She seems to care about the kid a lot, so even if she dislikes Lemont, she wouldn't want the future "vampire" to starve. ;)
Right. And also, the grandmother who gave Lemont the custody (she was the judge in the trial) probably would also give Lemont money or force her daughter to pay child support.
