The student loan people really nailed me on the consolidation thing. Had I not consolidated, at least one of the schools where I taught would have qualified for some loan reduction.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who, upon seeing the asterisk, looked below the panels for the footnote before continuing to read the strip. I feel so silly.
