My one issue though is that "redneck" isn't necessarily seen as a pejorative, even by those to whom it's applied. PWT would be a better parallel (though it doesn't start with "Red" and of course would deny the more immediate recognition).
They're not "rednecks," they're Appalachian-Americans!
