  • I think I fixed the non-updating problem! It seems my cache plugin was no longer compatible with this website once I updated the website to the new version of the software last week.

But again, the site was always working for me, so please let me know whether it's updating for all of you now.

  • This is a comment on your Dec 19 strip wheren your character is taking a call center call. I am an American fluent in Indonesian, and (although the word forms aren't correct) just read the first three panels for their meaning, not realizing they were in Indonesian till the last panel. Then my brain started smoldering.

    • The word forms aren't correct because (a) I'm NOT fluent in Indonesian, and (b) he's trying his best to speak English, but some Indonesian words are slipping in accidentally. It's like when people speak "Spanglish," and occasionally include the wrong usage of words from both languages. I guess this would be "Indonenglish."

          • For me, candorville.com sends me to the Dec 17th strip, and the Next button is disabled. I tried on another browser that I haven't pulled Candorville up on before (Chrome), and it did the same. I was able to pull up the more recent pages by typing the date into the address, and going to the archives (including for today's strip) . Is the current date not being updated on the server for some reason?

          • I've cleaned out my cache and refreshed the screen. Last night, I was able to move on to the next day's strip, but nothing beyond that. Today, I'm stuck back on this strip. I use Firefox. Tried Chrome & got this same strip and no capability to move on to newer strips, so it's not my browser.

But it's nice to know it's a technical problem and you're not bedridden with flu or something horrible.

          • Thanks, but I'd rather be bedridden with the flu! I am not a technical person, this'll be hard for me to fix. Especially since I've tried using a friend's PC, my iPhone, a couple browsers on my Mac... and can't duplicate the problem. I wonder if it has something to do with "the pipes," as Senator Stephens called it.
