like soooo many other things, it's society's fault. lookit: the very societal mores indelibly tattooed onto menfolk's conscience which indicate that we SHOULD pay the way (and open doors, pull out chairs, vanquish the ne'er-do-wells, etc.) are the SAME ones that say it's acceptable to still have this pay disparity after all these years! where is the balance to be struck in the ongoing saga of tradition vs. progress??
