“We are all offended” is something I hear often, from readers who’d like me to believe they’ve conducted a rigorous scientific poll, but who most likely just enjoy using the Royal We.
“We are NOT amused.”
It’s the same sort of person who says “sorry, but…” before disagreeing with someone else’s opinion. As if they expect their disagreement is going to be a huge blow.
