Beautifully done Darrin. This just what the entire country needs to do. And no it is not forgetting, it is just putting things in their proper places.
Thank you, Darrin, for continuing to be a voice of reason and compassion in a sea of fear and anger.
Great comic strip, Darrin; keep tellin' it like you see it.
I do wish our Hero would notice Susan!
This strip, to me, is pure poetry. The symbolism is genius. It means, in my mind, that all the negative emotions regarding 9-11 including feeling like a victim should be obliterated. I hope, in the future, something positive can replace the removed negative emotions. Perhaps something as simple as... hope?
Great strip, Darrin
Darrin, your Sunday tribute strip was the only one I could stomach. I thought it was great.
Thanks, Ken.
On the John and Ken show (usually conservative), they were saying much the same as many of your bloggers were, that it's too much hoopla over this and how long should a country keep on grieving.
The author of that article didn't bother to read the last line of the comic strip, did they?
It doesn't matter. I've been cartooning for 18 years, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that readers who *want* to be angry will find a reason to be angry, even if they have to misread between the lines.
Oh brother...
That's ok. I don't really expect people who don't WANT us to heal, to like today's strip.
Is your definition of "healing" to burn the memory and forget about what happened?
Since none of those cards read "the memory of what happened," clearly not.
Nice follow-up to last week's strips on battered wife syndrome.
