Clyde asks why Lemont canceled cable. The real question is, why hasn’t everyone?
I held onto cable and satellite for years longer than I should have, even after I saw I could get all my favorite shows on Hulu and Netflix. I think it was just habit. Being without cable or satellite felt like being naked.
Now I’m living on a nude beach and this analogy is starting to get out of hand.
I cut the cord long before Hulu. There were nine broadcast channels in Philadelphia *before* the digital mandate, and now there are dozens of OTA stations. Add Hulu to the mix and I’m good.
I don’t get any OTA channels here, in the heart of Los Angeles, even with a digital antenna. But cutting cable was *still* worth it. Hulu + Netflix, and my computer give me everything I used to watch, for $100/month less.
Preach on!!!!
